Shoe Dazzle Mini Haul: Was it Worth it??

Shoe Dazzle Mini Haul: Was it Worth it??

I always knew that Shoe Dazzle would get me in trouble. That’s why I never gave in to the temptation that they constantly put on my tv and social media timelines. Then one day I did. If you read my post “Mixing and Matching Prints” then you already know how this story goes down, so I won’t get into it again. Just know I couldn’t fight the temptation anymore - haha. I did pretty good the first few months as far as skipping the month and not buying anything, but then I forgot to skip the month of February … on both of my accounts (not even going to get into that story). So at that point, I had $79.90 in Shoe Dazzle credit that I had no choice but to use. Instead of finding one pair of $39.95 shoes to buy on each account like a financially responsible adult, I bought 8 pairs from my primary account and 1 from my second account. In my defense, though, they were having a 60% off sale on all boots and booties, so I paid no more than $16 for each. Tell me that’s not a good deal! Total I spent around $130 on the order of 8 pairs of shoes and I spent $42.95 on a pair of pumps on the second order. Those obviously weren’t a part of the sale, but I love them so much that I really didn’t mind paying the full VIP price.

Daysia Mixed Material Bootie | Navy Multi

It’s only right to get this thing started with the one and only bootie that took on my lovely first name. I’ll admit the name had a lot more influence in my decision to buy them than it should have … but at the same time, I’ve literally never seen the correct spelling of my name anywhere. Hell, I’ve never even met anyone in person that spells their name the same as me, so the fact that Shoe Dazzle had a cute ass bootie with my name tickled me so much. The night that I wore them, I wore a black leather skirt and a black turtleneck. Topped it off with some fishnet tights and a denim jacket and I had myself a LOOK. The non-physical beauty of these is that they can be dressed up or down, so a cute pair of distressed jeans would be perfectly acceptable as well. They’re also comfortable as hell, so we’ve really got ourselves an all around perfect bootie.

They’re almost sold out in all three colors, so if you’re thinking you want a pair for yourself you can find them here.

Noa Over the Knee Boot | Black & Bone

I couldn’t decide on whether to buy the black pair or bone pair of the Noa boot, so here I am with both. At first look, I was definitely satisfied visually with each pair, but once I put them on the satisfaction decreased just a bit. The issues that I had were more with the bone pair instead of the black, and it’s that they’re fitted perfectly around my leg until you get to my ankle. It’s just excess fabric in that area and it truly bothers me. I think it’s the fact that the bone pair is this soft leather material and the black is primarily suede which is why they fit differently around the ankles. Neither of them stay up for longer than 10 seconds when you’re walking, so just keep in mind you’ll have to cut the circulation off in your thighs with how tight you’ll have to tie the back of the boots for them to stay up better. You can buy both colors here!

Dorothy Over the Knee Boot | Black

Out of all the boots in this haul, I’m honestly only feeling some kind of way about not having the chance to wear these before the weather started warming up. Weirdly enough, black was actually the color I liked the least of this boot. I wanted the navy pair soooooooo bad but they didn’t want to restock them for your girl. By the time they sent that email the ivory pair were sold out in my size, so it was either the black pair or no pair. I obviously liked the style enough to buy them in the color I liked the least, but they truly ended up exceeding my expectations. I do think that because of how narrow the toe is that you could afford to go a whole size larger to give yourself some more comfort. I went up half a size, and just from having them on to take these photos I could see how uncomfortable they probably would be after wearing them for a while. There aren’t a whole lot of sizes left, so if you’re planning on buying a pair for yourself I’d head on over to the Shoe Dazzle website and check them out here.

Gloria Over the Knee Boot | Taupe

The thing about Shoe Dazzle is that their boots are just wide. They have a wide calf option, but their regular boots are still bulky around my legs. I guess it’s a good thing for if you want to wear leg warmers under your boots. Also, if you have thicker legs/calves but not quite wide calf thick then I’d recommend checking these out. Besides the bulkiness, I’m pretty satisfied with Gloria. I’ve worn her once to work and she was comfortable the entire day. Not to mention, she’s the perfect shade of brown that’ll go with several things that I already own!

Billie Over the Knee Boot | Whiskey

Billie was probably my least favorite of this haul. Just like with the Gloria boot, these are just as bulky if not worse. I can’t speak on the comfortability due to not having worn them yet, but considering I had to size up to an 8 I’d think my feet would have more than enough room. As far as appearance, I do love the color and the buckles, but I don’t think I’m a huge fan of the long zipper down the back. I thought I would be, but it’s really kind of weird the more I look at it. That’s just my personal opinion, though. If you’re feeling these you can buy them here. There aren’t many sizes left in this color, so get yours before they sell out!

Kiiko Mesh Pump | Black

Anytime I came across a pair of pumps like these, I couldn’t control my brain from saying “that’s hot” in Paris Hilton’s voice. That’s why I just did myself a favor and purchased them because they were literally seducing me through my screen. It’s just something about that fishnet and pointed toe combination with the high arch that gets me. I haven’t gotten the chance to wear them out yet, but from the time I was wearing them for these photos they were easy to walk in and surprisingly comfortable. I’ll have to get back to y’all on that once I have an occasion to wear them for a few hours, but until then I’ll just wear them around my apartment.

Unfortunately they are sold out on Shoe Dazzle, but I’ve seen several other online retailers that have a similar shoe. Check out PrettyLittleThing, Public Desire, and Ego Shoes if you want to grab a pair!

Ayda Riding Boot | Navy

My main reason for buying these is because I was super bummed out about not being able to get the Dorothy boot in Navy. I liked them enough to keep them, but in all honesty I’m kind of just indifferent about them. I’m sure I’ll find a cute outfit to go with them, but until boot season rolls back around I won’t be too worried about them.

These come in three different colors and they’re all still in stock. Sizes are limited, so I’d advise you go ahead and buy them before your size sells out. You guys can find them here.

Jacinta Textured Riding Boot | Black

These boots are the last of four that I’ve gotten the chance to wear from this haul. As far as comfortability goes, they’re in absolute last place. I made the mistake of wearing them to work one day and I could hardly walk straight by the end of the day. My poor toes were in distress and the back of my ankles were damn near rubbed raw. Since I can’t return them, I’ll just have to put bandaids on 30% of my foot anytime I decide to wear them 🙂 On a brighter note, at least they’re cute. And in comparison to the other riding boots that I bought, these had the best fit around my leg. Not too tight, not too loose, literally perfect. Such a shame they had to be so cheaply made.

As a whole, I’d say this was a successful mini haul and definitely was worth it. Yes, a few of the boots had their flaws, but I didn’t end up sending any of them back so they all made the cut. I’ve got all the riding boots that I need for the next several winters, so now I can focus on heels and sandals 😁. Let me know if you guys want a Spring/Summer shoe haul in the upcoming months!
